13.09.2021 – On 06.-09. September 2021, the doctoral and postdoctoral projects of the MB Train were the focus of the SFB 1208 retreat.

All project leaders and researchers of SFB 1208 met to present and discuss their projects. Main topics of the scientific projects were "Membrane Transporters", "Vesicular Transport in Biogenesis", "Endomembrane (Organelle) Communication" and "Intercellular Communication - Pathogenicity", complemented by "Techniques and Support" of the central projects. After the schedule of SFB 1208 events was changed due to the Corona pandemic, this was the first opportunity for most of the young scientists of the second funding period to present their work in the field and discuss it face-to-face with their colleagues and mentors.
The meeting therefore also served as an opportunity for several advanced meetings of doctoral advisory boards in the context of the MB Train mentoring concept. Furthermore, strategic meetings were held, new groups and members were integrated, existing collaborations were refreshed and new ones were established.

After this successful meeting, SFB 1208 is looking forward to its 3rd conference, scheduled for March 09-11, 2021.
